We are delighted to share that Dr Laura Lammasniemi has been selected as a George Flannery Visiting Fellow at the University of Sydney Law School. These highly competitive fellowships are awarded each year to international researchers who will contribute to the School’s research environment.

Omoyemi Akerele (LLM in International Economic Law, 2001-2002) was awarded the £1 million Earthshot Prize in 2025 for her pioneering work with Lagos Fashion Week.

Dr Serena Natile receives the IAS Interdisciplinary Research Development Award for the project ‘Pluralising Law and Social Reproduction: Concepts, Methods, Practices’. The IRDA scheme offers up to £5000 to support the development of new interdisciplinary research ideas and collaborations at ÌÇÐÄTV.
Former Law School student is awarded a MBE
Martin Baker (LLB Law, 1981) Chief Commercial Affairs Officer and Managing Director for the Paralympics at Channel 4, has been awarded a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) for services to Broadcasting.
