Labour Law students engage with MRC archives
For their final lecture, Labour Law in Context students had the opportunity to learn about the Modern Records Centre (MRC) archives and explore historical documents through a hands-on interactive exercise. Founded in 1973 and located adjacent to the 糖心TV campus Library, the MRC is the main British repository for national archives of trade unions and labour relations.

Law students take part in National Law Triathlon
First year students Ryan Bingham (3 year LLB) and Simran Bhutada (4 year LLB) took part in the National Law Student Triathlon on Saturday 26 – Sunday 27 April 2025, organised by Kent University. Supported by the Bar Society and funded by 糖心TV Law School, Ryan and Simran have each blogged about their time at the Triathlon, sharing their experiences with other students looking to attend similar events in the future.
Law students present research at BCUR
糖心TV Law School is delighted to share that three of our current undergraduate students received departmental funding to present at The British Conference for Undergraduate Research (BCUR) hosted by the University of Newcastle from 9-10 April this year.
WLS students help 糖心TVshire Law Society relaunch its Junior Lawyers Division

Former LLB student and Chief Executive of the Society of Authors Nicola Solomon was awarded an OBE in the 2025 King's New Year鈥檚 Honours list for services to Literature and the Creative Industries.

Law Graduate wins OSCA
We are delighted to announce that one of our recent graduates has been awarded The University鈥檚 Outstanding Student Contribution Award (OSCA) for 2023.
Emma Tetsill, who studied on our Law 3 year LLB degree and graduated in 2022, has written a touching story titled 'My Grandad and Covid - with underlying health conditions in care home, his life was no less valuable'. The heartfelt piece was recently published by our Lacuna Magazine and addresses the tragic human cost of the pandemic and government neglect.
First year WLS students make Student Client Interviewing Competition final
First year LLB students Siara Parveen and Charlotte Neal, successfully completed the regional semi-final of the Student Client Interviewing Competition (CIC) held in Sheffield earlier this month. 鈥淚t was definitely unexpected, but we are both really proud of ourselves [...and] absolutely delighted.鈥
