Thank you to everyone who completed this year鈥檚 National Student Survey (NSS). We are delighted to share the results, which reflect the continued work and commitment of colleagues across the Law School.

We are particularly pleased to report an overall positivity score of 83.1%, alongside an excellent response rate of 71%, with feedback from 189 students. Thank you to everyone who took the time to share their views. Your feedback is invaluable in helping us understand what is working well and where we can continue to improve.

Highlights from this year鈥檚 results:

This year鈥檚 results show a positive picture, with strong scores across all areas and significant improvements in several key areas compared with 2025.

• Learning resources - 94.2%
  Up 3.7% from 2025, demonstrating strong satisfaction with the resources available to support learning and teaching.
• Teaching on the course - 92.1%
  Students continue to value the breadth of modules available, the critical approaches embedded in the curriculum, and the engaging and varied teaching styles across the Law School.
• Academic support – 91.5%
  Up 4.5% from 2025, highlighting the value students place on the academic support available throughout their studies.
• Learning opportunities – 85.5%
  Up 6.7% from 2025, reflecting the range of opportunities available to students to develop their knowledge, skills and experience.
• Organisation and management – 81.0%
  Up 10.3% from 2025, representing a significant improvement in this year鈥檚 results.
• Student voice – 76.5%
  Up 10.5% from 2025, demonstrating significant progress in how students feel their views are heard and valued within the School of Law.

While we are delighted with these excellent results, we recognise that there is always more to do. The NSS provides an important opportunity to celebrate our achievements while also identifying where we can continue to make a difference.

Over the coming year, our priorities will include:

• Enhancing assessment and feedback by continuing to improve the consistency, transparency and quality of feedback, as part of our ongoing work to strengthen teaching and learning.
• Making the impact of student voice more visible by improving how we communicate the actions taken in response to student feedback and ensuring that students can more clearly see what has changed as a result.
• Closing the feedback loop through clearer and more regular communication about the issues raised by students, the actions being taken and the progress being made.
