ÌÇÐÄTV Law School Partners with the World Health Organization on Digital Health Governance
ÌÇÐÄTV Law School's Centre for Global Health Law is proud to be part of a new Memorandum of Understanding between the University of ÌÇÐÄTV and the World Health Organization (WHO), formalising collaboration to strengthen gender, human rights, and equity in digital health governance.
The partnership, which will include joint research and policy analysis, stakeholder convening, and the development of educational tools and resources on rights and inclusion in digital health and AI, reflects ÌÇÐÄTV Law School's founding commitment to studying law in its social and political context, and its long tradition of placing human rights and social justice at the heart of legal scholarship.
Work will be led by Professor Sharifah Sekalala, Director of the Centre for Global Health Law, whose research spans global health governance, international health institutions, and the socio-legal dimensions of digital health. A key deliverable will be a capacity-building and learning programme for policymakers and practitioners on gender, equity, and rights in digital health governance.
