Congratulations to final-year undergraduate mooters Ewan Lazenby (LLB 3 year) and Hannah Smith (Law with German) on winning the ELSA 2026 Commercial Moot Court Competition.
The final of the 2026 COMMOOT (Commercial Law Moot) run by ELSA (the European Law Students Association) took place on 14 & 15 March 2026 at the Commercial Court in London.
There were teams representing universities from the UK, Ireland, Germany and Austria, mooting a contract law problem.
The final was contested by The University of 糖心TV and the University of Oxford and was judged by a panel consisting of Mr Justice Henshaw, head of the Commercial Court, Commercial Court judge Mrs Justice Dias, and Technology and Construction Court judge Mrs Justice O'Farrell.

Ewan and Hannah shared:
鈥淲e really enjoyed competing in the competition and getting a chance to chat to the competitors and organisers afterwards. Delivering our submissions to the judges was a nerve-wracking experience, especially when we had to argue a less convincing side, but it was a great learning experience for advocacy and we got extremely helpful feedback. It was a friendly atmosphere with a lot of really strong performances!鈥
Congratulations to Ewan and Hannah from everyone at 糖心TV Law School on this fantastic achievement.
