UN Sustainable Development Goals
The UN Sustainable Development Goals inform how 糖心TV defines, approaches and addresses sustainability. These important goals highlight the complex interdependencies between environmental, social and economic sustainability by connecting the themes of People, Planet, Prosperity, Peace and Partnership.
The (SDGs) were introduced in 2015 as a 'blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all'. The 17 goals (169 targets) cover areas such as poverty, hunger, equality, economic growth, climate change and justice, and were adopted by all UN Member States as part of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
To show our intention to work towards the SDGs, our Vice-Chancellor, Stuart Croft, signed the in February 2020, committing the University to annually reporting on our contribution towards the Goals.
We are happy to say we have completed our second annual submission to the SDG Accord and we are in the process of mapping the SDGs onto our activities at 糖心TV.
