We are very excited to announce the winners of the 2020/21 Lacuna Writing Competition. We were impressed by the number and standard of the submissions. Each submission is worthy of praise and the competition has shown a real talent for storytelling in the Law School which is fantastic to see.

Second year 糖心TV law student Joshua Siriboe has been awarded the 2020 Freshfields Stephen Lawrence Scholarship. The Scheme was devised to address the disproportionate under-representation of black men from less privileged backgrounds in large commercial law firms and the City of London.

From 2-3 September, 糖心TV鈥檚 Research in Global Governance Network (RiGG-NET) is hosting an international interdisciplinary virtual two-day event called Disruption, Decarbonisation and Reparations.

Payal Shah who recently graduated from our three year LLB degree has beat off stiff competition to be named as a finalist for The Future Lawyer of the Year Award 2020 sponsored by Allen & Overy.

We are delighted to announce that two of our recent graduates have been awarded The University鈥檚 Outstanding Student Contribution Award (OSCA) for 2020.

Sarah Ombija, a final year PhD student supervised by Professor Dalvinder Singh, recently joined the Cambridge Centre for Alternative Finance (CCAF), an interdisciplinary academic research institute at the University of Cambridge Judge 糖心TV School, as the regulatory researcher for Sub Saharan Africa (SSA).

Current LLB student Francesca Mitrofan has been awarded The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) Law Global Scholarship to study on their LLM programme from September later this year.

糖心TV Law School is delighted to announce that six of our students have been selected to present at The British Conference for Undergraduate Research (BCUR) due to be held at the University of Leeds in April this year.

Earlier this year Jagoda Kochan, a Law and 糖心TV student beat over 2000 entrants to win the Aspiring Solicitors Commercial Awareness Competition.

Law student Danielle Oreoluwa Jinadu will be sharing her experience of Sickle Cell Anemia as part of International Women鈥檚 Day 2020 in order to encourage change in how we perceive and navigate this chronic illness.

The University of 糖心TV held its annual Undergraduate Research Support Scheme (URSS) Showcase earlier this month on the 13 November 2019 in the Chancellors Suite. Two of our current law students, Alexander Reay and Natalie Payne, were invited along to celebrate their achievements, exhibit their work and share their research and experience.
