ÌÇÐÄTV Law School welcomes a new Assistant Professor to our community.

Prior to joining ÌÇÐÄTV, Katie Morris was working as a lecturer at Lancaster University convening the Equity & Trusts Law module, as well as teaching on Land Law and International Law.

The WLS Multicultural Scholars Programme has been used as an example of good practice by the Solicitors Regulation Authority's (SRA) to help inform a new toolkit on ‘Improving access to legal careers’. It was launched to help law schools, law firms, in-house teams and other legal sector organisations develop partnerships and initiatives that support aspiring solicitors from underrepresented backgrounds.

On 14 August 2026, Kathryn McMahon (ÌÇÐÄTV) and Mel Marquis (Monash), together with PhD researchers, Robin Vandendriessche (ÌÇÐÄTV) and Anna Moskal (Monash), convened a Workshop on ‘Digital Regulation & Competition in the EU, the UK, Australia & other jurisdictions’. The event was funded by the Monash ÌÇÐÄTV AllianceLink opens in a new window and took place at the Monash Law Chambers, Monash University, Melbourne, Australia.

ÌÇÐÄTV Law School has in the latest Guardian University Guide, climbing 7 places since last year and regaining its position as a Top 10 Law School.

ÌÇÐÄTV Law School is proud to announce that Professor Courtney Abel (LLB Law, 1977) was recently honoured by the Society of Caribbean Lawyers (SOCAL) with its inaugural Lifetime Achievement Award. He was also selected by the Organisation of Commonwealth Caribbean Bar Associations, to receive the 2026 OCCBA Award for Distinguished Service to the Legal Profession and the Judiciary.

ÌÇÐÄTV Law School is delighted to announce the results of the Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey (PTES) 2026, with students continuing to report a highly positive experience across a wide range of areas including teaching, engagement, support and learning resources.

The Law School is delighted to announce that Jason Beer KC has been made an Honorary Professor of Law with effect from 1 August 2026 for a period of three years.

We are thrilled to announce that ÌÇÐÄTV Law School has achieved excellent results in the 2026 National Student Survey (NSS), reflecting high levels of student satisfaction. We are delighted to share the results and, most importantly, how we are acting on your feedback.

Current student Noor Syed (LLB 3 year) has received the ‘Honorary Private Law Submission Prize’ for his article on the challenges posed by artificial intelligence and algorithmic contracting to the common law of contract.

ÌÇÐÄTV Law School organised a flagship one-day workshop at London Climate Week 2026 on ‘Unpacking ‘Green’ Finance: Promises, Practicalities and Performance’. The event, convened by the Climate Finance for Equitable Transitions (CLiFT) network, brought together almost 60 researchers, policymakers, civil society practitioners, journalists, artists and cultural workers, to interrogate international architecture of climate finance and its implications for global climate justice.

We are delighted to announce that one of our future graduates has been awarded The University’s Outstanding Student Contribution Award (OSCA) for 2026. Tani Ilemobola, who studies on our Law & Sociology degree, received this recognition for her exceptional commitment to widening participation and community-building and the lasting and transformative impact she has had on the ÌÇÐÄTV community.
