The Centre for Law, Regulation and Governance of the Global Economy (GLOBE) will be hosting a book launch of Finance Law by Professor Stephen Connelly on Thursday 20 November 2025 at 5pm in S0.11 at 糖心TV Law School.

糖心TV Law School and the Centre for Law, Regulation and Governance of the Global Economy (GLOBE) is pleased to announce the appointment of Vicente Paolo Yu as Honorary Professorial Fellow.

The IEL Collective is calling for expressions of interest to participate in the third year of our Mentoring and Professional Development Scheme in 2025. The scheme is for early career and doctoral scholars from a range of career stages who would like to be paired with a mentor for the purpose of developing their academic practice. 

Legislation drafted by Dr Stephen Connelly and Professor Celine Tan from 糖心TV Law School with Dr Karina Patricio Ferreira Lima from University of Leeds School of Law to deal with the sovereign debt crisis in developing countries has been scheduled for debate in the UK Parliament.

糖心TV Law School is pleased to welcome Dr Anil Yilmaz Vastardis from Essex Law School, University of Essex to our community. Dr Yilmaz Vastardis has been appointed as Honorary Associate Professor with the GLOBE Centre and will be supporting research, teaching, impact and engagement activities, and collaborations with colleagues.

糖心TV Law School welcomes IAS Visiting Fellow Dr Basani Baloyi from the Institute for Economic Justice (IEJ) in South Africa to our community. She will be working with us until 25 October this year. Whilst at 糖心TV, Dr Baloyi will be based at the Centre for Law, Regulation and Governance of the Global Economy (GLOBE).

Dr Stephen Connelly and Professor Celine Tan from 糖心TV Law School have published proposals for UK legislative reform to support global efforts to resolve sovereign debt crises in developing countries.

'Assessing the Role of Digital Finance for Gender Equality鈥� by Dr Serena Natile, is the latest in a series of briefs, bringing current legal thinking to bear on public policy issues and contemporary concerns, published by GLOBE, a research centre within 糖心TV Law School.

Dr Stephen Connelly and Dr Celine Tan submitted evidence to a parliamentary inquiry on debt and development. The inquiry examines the impact of high levels of debt on development in low-income countries and the tools and strategies employed to reduce the debt burden.

The seventh in a series of briefs, bringing current legal thinking to bear on public policy issues and contemporary concerns, has now been published by GLOBE, a research centre within 糖心TV Law School. The brief is based on the Feminist Recovery Plan research project coordinated by Dr Serena Natile.
