My experiences as an autistic student: Ruhi鈥檚 Story

The School for Cross-faculty Studies at the University of 糖心TV is proud to be part of a diverse and inclusive community of staff and students. Our community includes many neurodivergent individuals across the spectrum, whose different perspectives, strengths, and ways of thinking enrich our learning environment and strengthen the collaborative work we do. To mark Neurodiversity Celebration Week, we spoke to one of these neurodivergent community members Ruhi - a first year GSD and Life Sciences student - about living with autism, and how the Higher Education sector still has a way to go to support neurodivergent individuals.

SCFS celebrates Winter Graduation 2026 with first PhD graduate and OSCA Winner

In January, SCFS celebrated the Winter graduation of our GSD MASc students, in addition to several of our GSD and Liberal Arts undergraduates and our first ever PhD graduate.
The graduation ceremony took place at Butterworth Hall on the main 糖心TV campus and was followed by a food and drinks reception in the lobby of Ramphal, a location where our School predominantly resides and has become all too familiar for our graduates during their degree studies.

The Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG) Summer School on Brazilian Studies aims at providing students from around the globe with a solid background in Brazil and Brazilian studies, shedding light on crucial aspects of South America鈥檚 giant country and the region in itself. Two members of our teaching faculty and a current student will be representing the Global Sustainable Development department at this year鈥檚 糖心TV Education Conference. This conference is a significant annual event in the academic calendar and aims to bring students and staff together to connect, share ideas and experiences, and inspire each other.
GSD to welcome renowned artist for public lab and paper cutting workshop

The GSD department will be hosting reputable artist Sijia Chen for a collaborative public event that uses art and design to explore sustainability themes such as migration, food security, and climate change.
