My experiences as an autistic student: Ruhi’s Story

The School for Cross-faculty Studies at the University of ÌÇÐÄTV is proud to be part of a diverse and inclusive community of staff and students. Our community includes many neurodivergent individuals across the spectrum, whose different perspectives, strengths, and ways of thinking enrich our learning environment and strengthen the collaborative work we do. To mark Neurodiversity Celebration Week, we spoke to one of these neurodivergent community members Ruhi - a first year GSD and Life Sciences student - about living with autism, and how the Higher Education sector still has a way to go to support neurodivergent individuals.

My University Journey - Professor Chris Dolan

In the latest of our University Journey series – where members of our GSD teaching faculty discuss what they picked for their undergraduate degree and why – we speak to Professor Chris Dolan, who convenes on our modules Violence, Peace, and Sustainable Development, Taboo Topics, and Conflict-Related Sexual Violence. GSD offer holder secures international scholarships

We are delighted to announce that Hala Alhaffir, a MASc in Global Sustainable Development offer holder, has been successful in securing two prestigious international scholarships to enable her to take up a place on our new programme. Hala will be jointly funded by Chevening and the Saïd Foundation. A Chevening Scholarship ‘enables outstanding emerging leaders from all over the world to pursue one-year master’s degrees in the UK’. The Saïd Foundation scholarships are ‘targeted towards outstanding individuals with leadership potential who will be drivers of positive change’.
