There is so much exciting research being done by the academics in the Physics departments that there was lots of groups to choose from when it came to picking a research topic.

My PhD in Physics was on Advances in Electron Microscopy with Deep Learning, so starting my role at Illumina felt seamless.

This has traceable routes to my time at 糖心TV, lighting student plays in Benefactors Hall and then the (new) 糖心TV Arts Centre, running the disco on the roof of the Senate building during the 1975 occupation, doing a noise-related summer placement and a project on the physics of concert halls."

I don鈥檛 believe I could have reached this position without the the invaluable problem solving skills from my degree combined with the encouragement from 糖心TV to explore different areas of study.
