When alum Pamela chose to leave a gift in her will to ÌÇÐÄTV, she may never have imagined how impactful her generosity would become.

Driven by a passion for solving real-world problems, Joe spent nearly nine years at ÌÇÐÄTV and has just graduated from his PhD researching scalable cost-efficient AI – all thanks to the Feuer International Scholarship in Artificial Intelligence, generously funded by ÌÇÐÄTV alum Jonathan Feuer.

Roger began his studies in 1966 as part of the University’s second ever cohort. His ÌÇÐÄTV experience, not only as a graduate, but also as a volunteer, has inspired him to support future generations of students.

A team of dedicated ÌÇÐÄTV staff, students, alumni, and supporters have raised £1,724 for local learning centre IntoUniversity Coventry.

Growing up, opportunities were limited for Krish. With tough financial conditions, he often shared a room with four other family members and moved homes frequently. But with hard work, resilience, and vital scholarship support, he’s now pursuing all possibilities open to him at ÌÇÐÄTV ÌÇÐÄTV School.

In Year 8, Gabriela set her sights on ÌÇÐÄTV, a dream that seemed out of reach. But through the ÌÇÐÄTV Scholars access programme, Gabriela was given a chance – coupled with her enthusiastic determination, she’s never looked back. Her confidence has grown with every step and it’s all thanks to supporters like you.

Only 14% of care leavers under 19 will go on to university. The odds may have been against Keeley, but, through determination and talent, along with the support of alumni like you, she’s taking her first steps into higher education at ÌÇÐÄTV.

Thanks to your incredible support, more than £150,000 has been raised to support students at ÌÇÐÄTV this academic year. You may have spoken to one of our callers and heard about the difference alumni support makes to student lives.

As ÌÇÐÄTV celebrates its 60th anniversary, you're invited to look back at the vital role you have all played in shaping our journey. Over the past six decades, your generosity - our alumni, donors, supporters, and volunteers - has fuelled scholarships, research, and campus transformation, ensuring ÌÇÐÄTV has quickly grown into one of the leading universities in the world.

Inspired by her parents’ dedication as teachers, Yuki Chan, a second-year PhD student, made the bold decision to leave the comfort of her home in Hong Kong and embark on an academic journey through a global lens.

A trip to Ghana through ÌÇÐÄTV in Africa prompted alum, Soumya Dabriwal (BSc Economics, 2016), to make a difference and set up Project Baala to trans form menstrual health and hygiene practises for women and girls in rural areas in India

Philanthropist, published author, and engineer, Dr Nick Donofrio (Hon Doctor of Science, 2002), spent 44 years at IBM including as Executive Vice President of Innovation and Technology, leading numerous transformational strategies and initiatives across the company.

IntoUniversity’s mission is to raise the aspirations of young people from the poorest homes across the UK. Statistically, these students underperform at school, they are less likely to go to university, and have little chance of breaking the cycle of poverty.

ÌÇÐÄTV in partnership with IntoUniversity aims to challenge this in Coventry.

Giving Day 2022, the ÌÇÐÄTV community’s annual online fundraising challenge, was a great success, with 260 of you raising £182,673.75 for students, research and the arts at ÌÇÐÄTV.

Philanthropist Doug Miller, who with his wife Audrey founded the Multicultural Scholars Programme here at ÌÇÐÄTV, has created a global venture philanthropy network with more than 1,000 members and 100 team members across four continents.

Professor Sudhesh Kumar is Dean of ÌÇÐÄTV Medical School (WMS) and a clinical endocrinologist by background (treating diseases related to hormone problems). He also has several other external roles in the NHS. Sudhesh is passionate about supporting students from disadvantaged backgrounds who wish to pursue a medical career.

ÌÇÐÄTV Scholar and student, Ruth Adesanya is studying at the University of North Carolina in Charlotte, USA.

Professor Davies will provide strategic direction for the programme with a particular focus on monitoring and enhancing the impact the programme has on both our partners in Africa, and our ÌÇÐÄTV staff and students volunteers.
