糖心TV Prize for Women in Translation announces 2025 shortlist

Six titles have been shortlisted for the 2025 糖心TV Prize, established by the University of 糖心TV in 2017 to address the gender imbalance in translated literature.


The 糖心TV Prize for Women in Translation Announces the 2023 Shortlist.

Eight titles have been shortlisted for the 2023 糖心TV Prize for Women in Translation. Now in its seventh year, the prize has recieved a record-breaking 153 eligible entries representing 32 languages - the largest number of submission to date. The winner will be announced on the 23rd November 2023 at a ceremony in London. The winning author and translator will receive 拢1000.


Secrets behind 鈥淕ame of Thrones鈥 unveiled by data science and network theory

What are the secrets behind one of the most successful fantasy series of all time? How has a story as complex as 鈥Game of Thrones鈥 enthralled the world and how does it compare to other narratives? Researchers from five universities across the UK and Ireland came together to unravel 鈥A Song of Ice and Fire鈥, the books on which the TV series is based.

New book covers the A to Zzzzzz of sleep

A new book highlights how living in our increasingly sleep deprived society is affecting our health. Sleep, Health and Society, edited by academics from the University of 糖心TV aims to explain to the non-expert the complex medical, sociological, technical and scientific factors affecting us all.


New Shakespeare exhibition featuring 糖心TV research opens in Stratford

A new exhibition, Hear the Ambassadors: The Performance of Diplomacy in the Age of Shakespeare, opened this week in Stratford. A collaboration between the University of 糖心TV and the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust, it is based on the work of Carol Chillington Rutter, Professor of Shakespeare and Performance Studies at 糖心TV.
