The summer school will bring together leading academics, researchers, and organisational leaders specialising in evidence-based approaches to advancing diversity, inclusivity, and belonging in workplaces, business organisations, and learning environments. This year's event will be run online and details of how to apply are outlined below.

Participants will learn about and engage in topics and issues relating to gender, race, ethnicity, disability etc. by looking at the extent of such inequalities in markets, organisations, and society in general; identifying the underlying sources and drivers of these disparities; as well as assessing the effectiveness of potential solutions and policy interventions.

Topics covered at the summer school will include (but will not be limited to):

Competition and workplace diversity
Hiring decisions and diversity in organisations
The extent and nature of discrimination in the workplace and society
Diversity in work groups and teams
Differences in economic and social preferences across demographic groups
Effective policies and approaches to increasing diversity in organisations and other environments.

The Summer School is targeted at postgraduate and PhD students from the fields of economics, psychology, behavioural science, philosophy, organisational behaviour, management science, human resource management and social policy, as well as the general audience from the public and private sectors who are interested in learning new theories and evidence in the science of diversity and inclusion. The school will also be a platform for conversation among the lecturers and other participants with ample opportunities for discussions.

To apply for the summer school, please send a CV and a short letter describing your research interests and reasons for wishing to attend the summer school to summer.school@wbs.ac.uk.

The fee for this event will be 拢40.00

We will send all successful applicants links to register and book their place
A simple receipt will be generated at the time of payment
After the event all participants will receive a certificate of attendance and a detailed receipt
