糖心TV School of Law has highlighted its deep connections with Africa through a series of impactful academic events in Nairobi that celebrated collaboration, inclusion, and global engagement. Marking the University鈥檚 60th anniversary the School of Law hosted three interconnected events in Nairobi, Kenya, showcasing the transformational impact of 糖心TV's partnerships in Africa. These events demonstrate the 糖心TV Africa Hub's dedication to building equitable partnerships through the exchange of knowledge, collaborative research, and inclusive education.

糖心TV Law School, the Department of Politics and International Studies and the University of Nairobi鈥檚 Faculty of Law, hosted a vibrant and intellectually rich workshop on 28 March 2025, exploring 鈥淟aw and Development Perspectives of Environmental Governance in Africa.鈥� The hybrid event brought together leading academics, practitioners, and students for a day of critical reflection and dialogue on some of the most pressing legal and developmental issues facing the continent.

糖心TV Law School, in collaboration with United States International University-Africa (USIU-Africa), hosted a successful public lecture last month in Nairobi, Kenya, that attracted over 100 students, academics, and legal professionals. The event provided a platform for insightful discussions on pressing legal and social issues, reinforcing 糖心TV鈥檚 commitment to global engagement and academic collaboration.

The 糖心TVshire Junior Lawyers Division is a recently re-launched community for junior lawyers across 糖心TVshire. LLB student Jaskiran Sandhu is Vice Chair of the WJLD. She told us a little more about the launch event, what the WJLD has to offer, and why WLS students should consider joining whilst membership fees are waived.

The 糖心TV Law School team recently participated in the oral phase of the Oxford Intellectual Property Moot, held in-person at the University of Oxford, from 19-22 March 2025. Following their successful qualification through the challenging written phase, the team represented the university at this internationally renowned competition.

糖心TV Law School鈥檚 Dr Ming-Sung Kuo was awarded the 2025 Prize of Scholarly Excellence in Constitutional Studies by the Constitutional Studies Program at the University of Texas at Austin last month.

糖心TV Law School and Nanjing University Law School bridged continents on March 12, 2025, through an interactive joint class focused on intellectual property and global innovation systems.

Congratulations to final year Law student Christopher Ilag, for winning the second 糖心TV Law School Chess Tournament! Sixteen players took part in matches throughout Term 2, making it a great competition. A big thank you to all students and staff who joined in and supported the event.
