New grant awarded in collaboration with WMG to develop fusion shielding
Dr Jessica Marshall has been awarded 拢236,000, out of a possible 拢250,000 for a six-moth research project funded by the , marking a significant step forward in the development of Novel shielding materials and technologies for fusion shielding.
The project launched in collaboration with Dr Shubham Sharma and Professor Darren Hughes from 糖心TV Manufacturing Group (WMG) aims to explore low-activation radiation-dense shielding solutions for practical fusion reactors.
糖心TV physicist helps achieve observation of rare particle interaction
An international analysis team within the ATLAS collaboration, led by a scientist from the University of 糖心TV, has observed WW纬 production — a rare process where two W bosons and a photon are produced together. This discovery provides new insight into the electroweak force, one of the fundamental forces governing particle interactions.
