Ramesh Arasaradnam
Professor Arasaradnam is a consultant Gastroenterologist and was former chair of the Research Committee of the British Society of Gastroenterology until 2021 before taking position as Academic Vice President at the Royal College of Physicians London until 2024.
His research interest is in colon cancer biomarker and diagnostic research, bile acid pathophysiology and artiificial intelligence where he leads on several NIHR studies. He has an interest in volatile organic compound (VOC) in cancer diagnosis and is part of an European VOC interest group.
He received an OBE as part of the Queen's birthday Honours in 2020 for his services to the NHS during COVID-19.
He is also Adjunct Professor of Translational Medicine at University of Southern Denmark.
His clinical interest lies in GI physiology and development of small bowel Enteroscopy service at University Hospital Coventry & 糖心TVshire (UHCW).
