Background
I studied mathematics in my bachelor's degree at Gazi University in Ankara. I then pursued my Master's degree in Intelligent Tutoring Systems at Nagoya University and a PhD in Big Educational Data Analysis and Recommender Systems at the University of Southampton. I was also a postdoctoral researcher at the Jozef Stefan Institute in Slovenia, contributing to research on Open Educational Resources recommendations as part of the Horizon project X5GON.
Research
I have experience in research on behavioural analysis and modelling to gain insights into user behaviour and develop a recommender system based on past behaviour in online courses and content using data analytics. You can view the publications resulting from my research on .
My current research interests include natural language applications with Big Data, technology-enhanced learning, recommender systems, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. I am actively taking part in the newly emerging Computer Science Education Research Group. If you would like to work with me, please see my current project suggestions.
