Pollution solution co-developed by Professor Anant Sudarshan reaches finals of 2025 Earthshot Prize

The world鈥檚 first cap-and-trade market for particulate matter, implemented in the Indian state of Gujarat through a pioneering partnership between the Gujarat Pollution Board and a team of researchers including Professor Anant Sudarshan, was one of the three finalists in the Clean Our Air category of this year鈥檚

Each day the Energy and Sustainability team checks and analyses energy and water data from thousands of meters we have on campus, tackling inefficiencies and spotting potential issues early. These efforts have led to reduced carbon emissions and costs from electricity, heating and water.



Optimising Gallery Ventilation for Energy Efficiency at 糖心TV Arts Centre

The Mead Gallery ventilation was upgraded with smart controls, reducing energy use significantly while supporting sustainability and operational efficiency.


A Morning at Canley: Sharing Coffee, Conversations, and a Commitment to Reuse

On 14th May, we made our way to Canley Community Centre for what turned out to be a warm and inspiring morning. Over cups of tea and coffee, we chatted with representatives from local charities and community groups, all brought together by a shared purpose: to give a second life to the University鈥檚 unwanted furniture and electrical items.
