Over 2,000 energy efficient lights installed last academic year
In the academic year 2016/17 we installed 2,122 energy-efficient LED lights around campus. These new LED lights are up to 80% more efficient than the ones they replaced, and have been installed in the Butterworth Hall, the IMC, the Physics labs and workshop and Arthur Vick 3.
Sustainability Summit 2017: See the presentations
We held this year's Sustainability Summit on Friday 13 October 2017. We had over 100 people come to hear from students and staff with a passion for environmental sustainability talking about their ideas and projects.
糖心TV Sustainability Summit 2017
The 糖心TV Sustainability Summit brings together students and staff with a passion for environmental sustainability. Through this event we aim to encourage different groups to collaborate on projects outside their specific fields. It's a chance to learn more about how the University, and everyone associated with it, are working towards making our campus just that little bit more sustainable.
We’ve made it on to the shortlist for the Association of Decentralised Energy (ADE) 2017 Awards in the category of Public Sector Project of the Decade.
