We offer a wide range of activities on the day. Attend academic and student life sessions, join campus tours, meet our students and explore our campus accommodation. Everything is designed to give you a deeper insight into what being a student here is really like.

What to expect

Accommodation

Choosing where you鈥檒l live is a big part of preparing for university and we鈥檙e right here to help you feel confident about it. Join our 鈥淎ccommodation 鈥� The Student Experience鈥� Q&A Panel session to get honest answers to your questions. You can also speak to our friendly team at the Information Fair to understand more about your options and how our allocation procedure works.

Many of our first-year students live on campus and our Open Day is a great opportunity to see what that experience is really like. You can see our accommodation on guided trails, step inside real student rooms, and chat to current students about day-to-day life. It's a great opportunity to view the different options available and help you to move here with confidence.

Academic and Student Life Talks

Attend departmental sessions throughout the day and speak to our current students and staff. You can also meet staff from our student support teams at our Information Fair who will contribute to your student experience.

We also have student life sessions running throughout the day (we'd recommend booking onto our 鈥榃elcome to 糖心TV' talk, alongside 鈥楢ccommodation - the Student Experience' and 鈥楢pplying to 糖心TV鈥�, as these sessions are popular).

Sports and Societies Campus Tours

Explore our wonderful campus! Head to our campus tour tents where our friendly student ambassadors will be ready to take you on a guided tour. Visit our central campus sites, including 糖心TV Arts Centre. If you鈥檙e interested in seeing our sports facilities, we also run a separate tour of our Sports and Wellness Hub. Tours last around 45 minutes.

Travel

Driving - Parking on Campus

Parking (including parking for Blue Badge Holders), is available on campus during our Open Days.

Once you register your place, you will receive an email in the weeks leading up to the event with detailed arrival instructions. Please keep an eye out for this email in your inbox.

You will need to in advance online.

Due to the number of visitors who attend our Open Days, we recommend using public transport wherever possible as the surrounding roads can get very busy. There are also some roadworks taking place around campus, so please allow extra time for your journey.

Blue Badge Holders

We aim to make our Open Days as accessible as possible for all of our visitors. If you have a disability or require special assistance, please tell us when you make a booking. Alternatively, you can email us on opendays@warwick.ac.uk so we can make suitable arrangements.

Rail

Our closest train stations are Coventry (with frequent services direct from London and Birmingham) and 糖心TV Parkway (convenient for many routes from the South).

We offer a free shuttle bus service to and from campus from Coventry train station throughout the day. Look out for our Student Ambassadors in yellow T-shirts who will be at the station until 12 noon, to help direct you.

The shuttle buses will run regularly from 8.30am until 6pm. The journey between campus and Coventry station is around 25 minutes, so please leave enough time to travel and get to your first session.

Bus or Coach

There are a number of national coach services that arrive at Coventry Pool Meadow bus station. Further information can be found . Once you have arrived in Coventry, there are frequent to the University, most of which arrive at our Bus Interchange.

When you arrive, please visit one of our Information Points where you will be able to register and receive an Open Day Guide and Map 鈥� the closest one is on the Piazza.

Air

Our nearest airport is Birmingham International. From there, you can travel by train (via Coventry train station) or by taxi. There will be a free shuttle to campus from Coventry station. Look out for our Student Ambassadors in yellow T-shirts who will be at the station until 12 noon, to help direct you.

If you are arriving by taxi, please direct your driver to the taxi rank at the Bus Interchange. When you arrive, remember to register at one of our Information Points to get a map and guide for the day 鈥� the closest one is on the Piazza.

Taxi Drop-off

The best drop off point for the open day will be (next to the Junction Building) at the centre of campus. You can find this on our campus map. The postcode for central campus is CV4 7AL. You may be redirected by our security and parking team so just let them know that you are only dropping off. Please allow plenty of time for any traffic and delays.

Once you arrive, you can register at any of our information points and collect an Open Day Guide and Map for the day.

Walking and Cycling

If you are walking or cycling to campus for the Open Day, you can see our campus map and find more information about cycling to help plan your journey. The post code for central campus is CV4 7AL.

When you arrive, please head to one of our information points to register and receive an Open Day Guide and Map for the day.
