The Langar community kitchen invites everyone to enjoy free vegetarian food, served with love and the spirit of Seva (selfless service) on 18 November. Hosted in partnership with the ÌÇÐÄTV Sikh Society, the event welcomes the local community to experience the warmth and generosity of Sikh culture and learn more about the faith’s emphasis on equality and service.

Global Illuminations Procession traffic guidance
Join us for the Global Illuminations Procession taking place on campus on 19th November from 17:00 – 19:00! On this day, we would advise that you avoid parking in car parks 15 (NAIC) and 3 (Junction) if you will need to leave campus after 17:00. Car parks 2 (Cryfield Village), 1 (Kirby Corner) and 12 (Westwood) will not be affected.
Remembering Armistice Day
We will be gathering on the Piazza with ÌÇÐÄTV students and staff alongside the local community for an act of remembrance this Armistice Day on Tuesday 11 November 2025 from 10:30am for a service beginning at 10:45am, finishing at 11:15am.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the Term 3 Student Feedback Survey and in our Academic Skills workshops. Your feedback has already made a difference, helping shape university discussions on how AI is used in learning, inspiring clearer guidance on academic integrity, and the launch of our new student resources on using AI.
The University of ÌÇÐÄTV is proud to host a series of free public events as part of the ESRC Festival of Social Science, running from 23 October to 10 November 2025. These events invite the public to engage with research that explores how society is changing – from our working lives and wellbeing to community voice and global justice.

Public Engagement Masterclasses
Do you want to learn to explain your research to people outside the university? Perhaps you want to engage people with your subject through hands-on learning activities? Do you want to learn to design a poster outside the traditional academic conference style? Book your place now on a public engagement masterclass on 29 October.
Many of us will be taking part in festivities and celebrations at this time of year. If you plan to include fireworks in your celebrations, this is a reminder that there are professional local displays you can attend, and to please be mindful of your neighbours when making your way home. Visit The Library’s Reading List stand on 20 and 21 October for information, advice, and assistance with your reading lists. The reading list team will be available when the stand is open to provide support and answer questions. Diwali​ is on 20 October. Celebrate with the Students’ Union on 21 October as they lead a day of making, music, and delicious food as part of One World ÌÇÐÄTV.
Join us for The (Free) Breakfast Club every Tuesday, starting from 8:30am - 10:30am in The Green Room! Help yourself to a variety of hot and cold breakfast options, alongside a hot drink. Remember, once it’s gone, it’s gone - so be sure to get in quick!
Global Illuminations Procession - Workshops
As part of our 60th anniversary celebrations and One World ÌÇÐÄTV, join us for Workshop Wednesdays and other creative sessions to prepare for a dazzling international light procession that will wind through the heart of campus on 19 November.
