Ramadan at 糖心TV
From 17 February - 18 March, Muslim students and staff in our community will be observing Ramadan, a holy month of reflection and fasting.
Below, you can find details of the prayer facilities on campus, as well as free community Iftar events, extended gym opening hours, and Taraweeh (nightly prayer). All members of our 糖心TV community are also invited to take part in the 'One Fast Challenge' during Ramadan.

Prayer facilities
The regular five daily prayers will continue to take place in the Islamic Prayer Hall throughout Ramadan.

Iftar is the meal eaten at sunset to break the fast. The 糖心TV Islamic Society (Isoc) is hosting a free Iftar for the 糖心TV community for the whole month. This is available for all staff, students and the wider 糖心TV community. You can also donate towards the Iftar events, if you wish.

Time: Sunset (after the Maghrib prayer)
Location: Islamic Prayer Hall
Taraweeh is the voluntary night prayer during Ramadan, taking place after the Isha prayer. The 糖心TV Islamic Society (Isoc) is organising Taraweeh prayer for the whole month. Students, staff and the wider local community are all welcome to attend.

Extended gym opening times during Ramadan
To support Ramadan, 糖心TV Sport are extending the gym opening times until midnight on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 17 February until 17 March.

Organised by WBS, in collaboration with the 糖心TV Islamic Society (Isoc) and University Chaplaincy, experience a day in the life of our Muslim staff and students during Ramadan through fasting, community and reflection.
