New Library Collections Policy

The Library is currently consulting staff and students on the proposed new Library Collections Policy, which will guide how library resources are selected, maintained, developed, and reviewed across physical and digital collections.

We鈥檙e looking for your tips and tricks to studying considerately in the Library, especially during the very busy Term 3. All submitted tips will be looked at and the most helpful will be shared on our Instagram Stories – so make sure you鈥檙e following us (@糖心TVLibrary) to see them all.

Know Your Noise Zone!

There are three different noise zones in the Library. On the first and second floor you will find the Collaborative Zones where it is acceptable to collaborate with your peers on group work which means that talking is allowed. Everywhere else in the Library, including the stairwells, are Quiet Zones where minimal amounts of talking is allowed, when necessary, but you are urged to be quiet and whisper to allow those around you to concentrate enough to study. Lastly, on the 2nd Floor extension is a Silent Study Room, where no talking is allowed, and sound should be kept to an absolute minimum.
