Location: Online and Library Training Room

Maintaining an online presence is becoming an increasingly important skill needed as a researcher: it offers new avenues for opportunities, collaborations, and for your work to be shared.

In this session, we will give you an overview of the different types of profiles you may be interested in setting up as a researcher, including Symplectic Elements, ORCID, databases like Google Scholar, Scopus and Dimensions, and both academic and public social media sites. We will offer guidance on how to manage multiple profiles, including scenarios such as sharing a new publication or changing institutions.

There will then be an opportunity at the end of the workshop to manage, update or set up any of the profiles covered in the session with the helpful guidance of the Open Research Team.
