Lynchgate car park: Lift unavailable on 7 April

Due to essential works on the electrical distribution panel, the lift in the Lynchgate car park will be out of service on the 7 April 2026. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your patience while these works are carried out.

Due to essential works on the electrical distribution panel, the lift and EV units in the Kirby Corner car park will be out of service on the 21 March 2026. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your patience while these works are carried out.


Temporary traffic management on Lord Bhattacharyya Way from Monday 9th March

From Monday 9th March for approximately 2 weeks, temporary traffic management will be in place on Lord Bhattacharyya Way to allow for the replacement of the STEM hoarding.

During the works, stop and go traffic control will be in operation. Some minor delays may occur while the works are being carried out.

Closure of Dalehouse Lane: Tuesday 7 April 26 - Monday 7 June 2027

From Tuesday 7 April 2026 until 6pm on Monday 7 June 2027, a 14-month road closure will be in place on Dalehouse Lane to allow construction of a new overbridge that will carry the road over the HS2 railway. During this period, there will be increased construction activity and some disruption to travel times. Please plan your journeys in advance to avoid delays. A fully signed diversion route will be in place throughout the closure.

Temporary traffic management on Library Road: 9 February - 22 February 2026

From Monday 9 February, temporary traffic management will be in place at the Library Road entrance for approximately 2 weeks. This will include a single-lane closure and temporary traffic lights.

Access for all vehicles will be maintained throughout the works, however large articulated lorries may experience difficulty exiting. To manage this safely, the contractor will coordinate their exit via the bollards adjacent to the Humanities building.
