Kirby Corner Road - temporary two-way traffic signals until 20/06/2025
There will be traffic management in place outside University House until 20/06/2025 whilst Coventry City Council carry out upgrade works on the pedestrian crossing.
UPDATED: Temporary closure of A429 Kenilworth road: Monday 2nd June - Sunday 28th June
UPDATE: The team has made considerable progress, and the new bridge and permanent road will be opened to traffic on Saturday 28 June.
The closure planned from Monday 30 June 2025 to Sunday 20 July 2025 is no longer required and the A429 will remain open until late summer. There will be one more closure of the A429 to carry out final construction works with dates to be confirmed. For further information please visit
From Monday 2nd June - Sunday 28th June the A429 Kenilworth road between the Gibbet Hill road roundabout - Common Lane junction will be closed to vehicular traffic. Access to all properties, footpaths and cyclists will be maintained.

Temporary closure of Crackley Lane: Monday 2nd June - Saturday 21st June
Between Monday 2nd June - Saturday 21st June, Crackley lane will be closed between Blind Lane, Cryfield Grange Road & South Hurst Farm. There will be no access for vehicles, pedestrians & cyclists, with a fully signposted diversion in place during the closure.

Gas pipe diversion for STEM: Thursday 10th - Friday 11th April
From Thursday 10th April - Friday 11th April, an existing gas pipeline located at the corner of Lord Bhattacharyya Way (opposite the Lord Bhattacharyya Building) will be diverted and safely purged as part of planned works.
During this process, there may be a noticeable smell of gas in the air around the STEM site. Please be assured that this is expected and part of a controlled and safe purge of the pipeline in preparation for its removal. There is no cause for concern.
