A46 Mainline overnight weekend lane closures: 08/11/2025 and 09/11/2025

Site preparation works are currently underway along the A46 to remove redundant materials and create new access points. These early activities will help ensure that, once all necessary approvals are in place, main construction works can resume in the new year at the intended pace for the remainder of the project.

To enable these preparatory works, overnight lane closures will take place on the A46 mainline during the weekend of 8th & 9th November 2025. These closures are required to install traffic management measures and set up a future diversion route. Traffic will continue to be maintained on the remaining open lanes.

  • Southbound Closure: Saturday 8 November 2025 from 20:00 to 06:00
  • Northbound Closure: Sunday 9 November 2025 from 20:00 to 06:00

Please plan ahead and allow extra time for your journeys during these periods.
