Notice of Permit Office closures: Easter Bank Holiday 2026
The Permit Office will be closed from Thursday 2 April and will reopen on Tuesday 7 April 2026 for the Easter Bank Holiday period.
Emergency permits during closure
For emergency permits, please contact the on‑call Estates Leadership Team (ELT) representative.
Their details are available from the Community Safety Gatehouse via 024 7652 2083.
- The ELT representative can approve emergency work at height and roof access permits once full work details and appropriate Risk Assessment and Method Statement (RAMS) are provided.
- For electrical permits, please contact Estates' Electrical On‑Call Manager, whose details can also be obtained through the Community Safety Gatehouse or the on‑call ELT representative.
Planned work during the Easter break
Permits required for planned works taking place during the Easter closure, or on Tuesday 7 and Wednesday 8 April, must be submitted no later than 12 noon on Tuesday 31 March.
This allows time for processing and approval for issue on Thursday 2 April.
Please note:
- Most permits require 3 working days’ notice
- Some permits require 10 to 20 days’ notice
Submitting requests early will help avoid delays or declined applications.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
