Electrical Services
Neil Williams
Electrical Maintenance Manager
I manage the Electrical Services team which is collectively responsible for the operations and maintenance of an extensive network of complex equipment and systems across the University estate.
Becky Cosnett
Electrical Contracts Officer
I manage a team of Electrical Contract Supervisors and am responsible for the
delivery of the contracted-out specialist electrical services across all campus sites.
Michael Keenan
Electrical Services Officer
I manage the day-to-day activities including Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and Reactive Maintenance across the entire campus.
Andy Hurdwell
Electrical Services Officer (Minor New Works)
I manage minor new works and alterations to existing electrical infrastructure across campus.
Darren Kelly
Electrical Services Officer (Electrical Testing)
I manage a programme of fixed wire and appliance testing across all University buildings, including remedial works.
Mechanical Services
Geoff O'Hara
Mechanical Maintenance Manager
I manage the Mechanical Maintenance teams, together we are responsible for compliance of mechanical building systems, air conditioning, LEV, pressure systems including lab gas infrastructure. This is supported by Specialist Engineering Surveyors.
Matt Danes
Mechanical Services Officer
I help to manage the Mechanical Services section of directly employed staff. I also ensure that all statutory maintenance is recorded and planned and that reactive maintenance is provided to the entire campus. I am a line manager to two Mechanical Supervisors who in turn manage a team responsible for plumbing and heating faults on campus.
Building Fabric

Head of Maintenance - Building Fabric
My responsibility is to manage a core building fabric team of around 26 skilled and motivated staff for the university, supporting and guiding them in the complex repair and maintenance management of a large campus.

I help to manage the Building Fabric section of directly employed staff whose day-to-day activities involve Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and Reactive Maintenance of Building Fabric across the entire campus.
Building Controls (BeMS)

Building Controls Operations Officer
I manage the operation and maintenance of the University's Building Energy Management Systems (BeMS), helping to ensure buildings operate efficiently, safely, and reliably. I lead the Building Controls Technicians team and work closely with colleagues, contractors and stakeholders to support building performance and resolve control system issues. I am also the primary contact for BeMS contractors, coordinating projects, planned preventative maintenance (PPM), and ongoing maintenance activities.
