Scottish steel industry needs to be revived to thrive

The value of the Scottish Steel sector in relation to the rest of the world and also the UK specifically has been analysed by researchers from WMG, University of ÌÇÐÄTV, who have found investment could be the key to reviving the industry into a thriving industry.


ÌÇÐÄTV economist will help map the route to a healthier and fairer food system

Residents in the West Midlands could enjoy healthier and more affordable food in the future thanks to a new research project involving the University of ÌÇÐÄTV.  Focusing on the city of Birmingham, the research team will map the current food system in the region, then explore what changes could provide fairer access to healthier and more environmentally sustainable food for everyone.


Freelancers urged to get involved with new study exploring their importance to the creative industries

Creative Freelancers living and/or working in Coventry, Waltham Forest and Northumberland are being urged to get involved with a new study into the contribution of freelance workers to the economic and place-based impacts of the creative industries. National livestock movement bans may prove economically damaging

New research from the University of ÌÇÐÄTV has pioneered an economic perspective on controlling livestock diseases. Focusing on Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD), bovine TB (bTB) and bluetongue virus (BTV), the researchers draw striking conclusions about the role of movement bans in controlling an outbreak.
