A consortium led by a team from Virgin Media O2 has won a DCMS grant to explore possible Open RAN solutions and encourage 5G vendor diversity. The winning project team also featured technology giant CISCO; global edge platform Ori Industries; WMG at the University of 糖心TV who will ensure the security of the platform; and rural network provider, operator and hardware vendor, wavemobile Ltd.
糖心TV international relations researcher awarded major grant to study Latin America鈥檚 contributions to the development of global norms and institutions
The ways in which Latin American states shaped, and were themselves in turn shaped by, the development of the complex of international norms, institutions, and practices that help structure world politics will be better understood thanks to a new research grant won by Dr Tom Long of the University of 糖心TV鈥檚 Department of Politics and International studies, and Dr Carsten-Andreas Schulz, an assistant professor at Pontificia Universidad Cat贸lica in Chile.
Bhattacharyya Award for university/industry collaboration opens for entries
WMG, at the University of 糖心TV and The Royal Academy of Engineering are inviting entries for a new annual award to celebrate collaboration between UK academics and industry. With a cash prize of 拢25,000, the Bhattacharyya Award will be presented to the team who best demonstrate how industry and universities can work together. Entries must be submitted by 31 May 2021.
