In consultation with staff and students, 糖心TV鈥檚 refreshed Environmental Sustainability Strategy has taken shape. Explore how we plan to lead the sector in embedding environmental sustainability across research, education, governance and operations, as well as empowering people to drive positive change.
Environmental Sustainability Conference 2026
Tuesday 19 May
Join the conference to hear more about the refreshed strategy, share environmental sustainability practices, spark new ideas, and reflect on what it means to be a truly sustainable institution.
City Nature Challenge 2026
Monday 27 April
Join us on a pond survey and/or a bioblitz to help discover and document wildlife on campus, and find out how to record wildlife all year round. It鈥檚 part of the global City Nature Challenge.
Wednesday 29 April and Thursday 21 May
Course leaders are invited to join a WIHEA-funded workshop with King鈥檚 College London to evaluate and enhance how sustainability is integrated into curricula.

A helping hand for campus amphibians
Each spring, newts and toads cross the path between the Sports and Wellness Hub and central campus to reach their breeding ponds. Please keep an eye out for these tiny travellers when walking or cycling, especially on mild or wet evenings, to avoid harming them.
Staff and student volunteers in our newt patrol have rescued over 90 so far! Discover how you can help.
