University House temporarily closing for important maintenance work
Colleagues who currently work in this building will move to Swallow House or the University House Annex, from November 2025, for approximately 12 months.

Staff choir taster session: 9 October
Calling all singers!
If you already like singing or have always wanted to try it and never quite got around to it, come and join us for our staff choir taster session. You don’t need to be able to read music, just come along with a willingness to sing and have fun!
Refurbished bike sales on campus: Wednesday 1 and 29 October
Come along to browse a selection of quality, affordable second-hand bikes, fully refurbished and ready to ride.
Co-op store now open
, where Rootes Grocery Store was previously located. Staff can purchase items from the Co-op via the existing voucher system, although internal ordering and deliveries have not yet been set up - we will update you further on this later this term.
New mural coming to campus
Earlier this year we asked you to vote for a striking new mural – part of our 60th anniversary celebrations – and you chose the iconic ÌÇÐÄTV goose! This Welcome Week, our artist in residence David Speed will bring the winning design to life in his signature neon style, right in the heart of campus. If you’re passing the Piazza from Tuesday 30 September, look out for David in action and see the mural take shape!
Free flu vaccinations for staff

Safezone Alliance
Do you visit other universities in the UK and Ireland? You can now benefit from Safezone Alliance, which allows you to get support from the local safety teams at participating universities. It’s an extension of SafeZone, the free app that connects you directly to our Community Safety team.
