MSc Community Social Events
As well as supporting your academic and personal development, we have built in some opportunities for MSc students to unwind, have fun and network with your peers in the WBS community.
Hear from Previous Students
"The little things that the department does to help students get through the terms are very important. Something like bringing alpacas or giving free breakfast in exam period might be funny on first sight but it's actually helpful and spreads happiness on the campus"
"Throughout the course, there were ample opportunities for engagement, both academically and socially. I found myself connecting with peers, tutors, and staff, fostering a supportive and interactive learning environment. Interactions with friends and various individuals enriched my experience, contributing positively to my overall satisfaction with the course."
How do I get involved?
Information will be posted on , so do look out for these updates.
What does available to all mean?
We offer two social events and activities in Terms 1 and 2, and one in Term 3, all of which are open to every MSc student. Students are asked to register for these events so we can make the necessary catering and other arrangements, where applicable.
What does sign up mean?
With sign up events there are a limited number of spaces on each trip, so it isn鈥檛 possible for every student to attend all of them. Not everyone is interested in the same trips, and demand can vary. Please think about which event you are interested in and take a look at the FAQ's. It is important that you only sign up to an event that you are committed to attending. Attendance is taken at each event.
We provide 1 weeks advance notice of the sign up events form opening. This gives all students time to prepare, as long as they are taking personal responsibility in checking regularly!
Please see information below on Activities planned for 26/27, this is subject to change. All opportunities are provided free of charge.
