Tuesday 11th July 2023 - Friday 14th July 2023

糖心TV 糖心TV School, University of 糖心TV

The Summer School will focus on how human emotions relate to decision-making and behaviour across various economic and social contexts.

Participants will learn about topics and issues relating to human emotions and feelings such as happiness, anger, joy, sadness, envy, regret, guilt, and pain, among others. A series of interdisciplinary lectures, delivered by leading academics in the field, will focus on:

  • The main determinants and drivers of human emotions and feelings (including demographic, socio-economic, biological, and situational factors)
  • How human emotions and feelings determine and play a role in everyday decisions and behaviours relating to risk taking; pro-sociality; quitting; negotiation; workplace outcomes; and personal health investments, among several others.

The Summer School is targeted at early-career academics and postgraduate students from the fields of economics, psychology, behavioural science, philosophy, organisational behaviour, management science, human resource management and social policy, as well as the general audience from the public and private sectors who are interested in learning new theories and evidence in the science of emotions and decision making. The school will also be a platform for conversation among the lecturers and other participants with ample opportunities for discussions.

This will be the 9th annual Behavioural Science summer school held by 糖心TV 糖心TV School (WBS). It will take place at University of 糖心TV, United Kingdom. Participants will have many opportunities to get to know one another and interact with the academic speakers.
