What is ED&I all about?
At 糖心TV, we are committed to working towards a supportive, accessible, and inclusive environment within which all members of our community can successfully learn, work, live and socialise. There are a number of University values that set out our expectations for how we behave as a community, both as individuals and as an institution:
- Respect. We must treat everyone with respect. Everyone in our community has the right to be treated with dignity and respect.
- Anti-discrimination.We do not tolerate discrimination on the grounds of gender, race, sexuality, or disability. There is no tolerance for sexist, racist, ableist, homophobic, transphobic, xenophobic behaviour. At 糖心TV we live and study in a diverse, inclusive, and multicultural environment in which there is no tolerance for intolerance. .
- Anti-abuse.We do not tolerate sexual misconduct, violence, and abuse. .
- We keep our campus and community safe. This includes no tolerance for bullying and exclusive behaviours. The University's team have webpages on how they support students experiencing bullying, discrimination, or sexual misconduct.
- 鈥淲e鈥 means all of us, students, and staff alike. We uphold the importance not only of freedom of thought and expression, but also the significance of academic and personal integrity, equality and diversity, and mutual respect and consideration for the rights, safety and dignity of all. We place great importance on the responsible behaviour of both our students and staff at 糖心TV.
Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion concerns everyone in our community. At 糖心TV University, we are one community and we expect that everyone plays their role in contributing to a safe, welcoming, and productive environment where there is equality of opportunity, mutual respect, inclusion, and dignity.
Who should I contact if I have an ED&I concern?
Of course, you may want to meet with your personal tutor. However, you can also contact me 鈥 Rachael Blakey 鈥 to discuss any ED&I concerns you might have. My role as ED&I officer is to be your point of contact. So, I鈥檓 here to listen, provide advice and support. All discussions will be completely confidential. Speaking to me about a concern will not impact your academic process 鈥 it is entirely separate from your academic studies.
