Paula Hollstein Barria | Director of Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion: Student Facing
Hi! I'm Paula, a Teaching Fellow at 糖心TV Law School. Originally from Chile, I made the journey to 糖心TV as an international student, and I'm delighted to now be a Teaching Fellow here. I currently teach Criminal Law, Tort Law, and Gender, Violence & Criminal Justice.
My research interests lie in the areas of abuse, trauma, and the intersections of law and psychoanalysis. I am also very interested in personal narratives and the arts. I'm honoured to be part of the EDI team and am committed to helping make the Law School a kind and supportive place for all of us.
Ameer Ameeree | ED&I Officer
Hi! I鈥檓 Ameer and I am a final-year law student. I grew up across India, the United Arab Emirates and the United Kingdom. Outside of studies, I am passionate about climate justice and have led an organisation in the UAE to amplify diverse young voices at the highest levels. Currently, I work with the 糖心TV School Tasking Team to teach law in widening participation schools across Coventry and help social mobility students refine their scholarship applications to universities. I am very excited to be part of this amazing EDI team and hope to bring lots of initiatives to make the Law School even more inclusive and supportive!
Claire Chiaghana | ED&I Officer
Hi everyone! My name is Claire, and I鈥檓 going into my second year. I鈥檓 excited to be one of your EDI representatives and to work with the rest of the team. I鈥檝e personally benefited from EDI initiatives at 糖心TV, so I hope to provide that same support and sense of belonging for other students. Alongside my studies, I鈥檓 involved in outreach and pro bono initiatives, and my main interests are in commercial law, innovation and technology. I鈥檓 looking forward to organising inclusive events and helping students feel represented, valued and heard.
Gitaansh Gupta | ED&I Officer
Hey, I'm Gitaansh, heading into my second year of law! I wouldn't say I've settled on a favorite area just yet, as I'm still very much exploring what's out there. M&A and private equity have caught my attention so far, but I'm curious to dig deeper into different spaces. Beyond my coursework, volunteering has been a constant for me, and 糖心TV's EDI initiatives have made a difference in my own experience here as a student. That's a big part of why I wanted to step into this role. I want to help create that same sense of belonging for others. Really looking forward to getting stuck into this with the team this year!
Thejanaa Jegajeevan | ED&I Officer
Hi, I'm Thejanaa, an incoming second-year law student from Sri Lanka. I'm looking forward to working as an EDI representative this year, especially as an international student who has benefitted greatly from 糖心TV's welcoming community. Through my experience in volunteering and pro-bono initiatives, I hope to ensure students feel at home at 糖心TV no matter how far from home!
