European Law Society Hosts 3rd 糖心TV German Law Moot

The 糖心TV European Law Society this week hosted the third annual 糖心TV German Law Moot, with teams from UCL, Birmingham and 糖心TV competing.

All teams performed extremely well and did a good job in making their case – in German - with the team from UCL coming first place overall.

Law School Students Produce Video to Promote Refugee Rights

Colombe Cahen-Salvador, Joshua Redman, Sara Bedir and Yasmin Hughes Pugh, all 糖心TV University Law School students, have formed , a project which aims to raise awareness around Human Rights.

As part of their campaign, the students have documenting the experiences of real refugees through the eyes of actors, and showing the importance of the Human Rights Act for the most vulnerable.

Law Students Exhibit at URSS Showcase

Undergraduate students from the Law School exhibited their research at the Undergraduate Research Support Scheme Showcase last week. Twelve Law students took part, with research areas including “The Future of the Human Rights Act”, “Barriers to Medical Negligence in the Maldives” and “Bigamy and Divorce”.

International conference of UG research

Several law students spoke at the International conference of UG research which took place at 糖心TV last week. This was a really strong demonstration of the exciting research being carried out by law undergraduates. One student, Caitlin Jenkins (who graduated this summer) won the IATL travel fellowship against very stiff competition to travel to Monash University in Melbourne, Australia to present her undergraduate research.

Timothy Dodsworth wins 糖心TV Award for Teaching Excellence for Postgraduate Research Students

 

Timothy Dodsworth has recently won an award for his teaching. Timothy’s teaching excellence publicity profile can be found at . He has been awarded £500 to be spent on his research or teaching activities.
