Wajma Zazai, who studied on our Law 3 Year LLB, and graduated in 2022, has written our latest Lacuna article titled: 'The Screen: Watching Afghanistan suffer from afar.' Wajma was awarded the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge Scholarship from the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple to support her Bar Vocational Studies at City, University of London.
糖心TV Law Students Address Social Housing Allocation Inequalities
糖心TV Law School students recently presented the results of a legal research project into social housing allocation inequality conducted as part of 糖心TV Law in the Community鈥檚 Strategic Social Justice Clinic. The presentation outlined the complex issues surrounding change of circumstance applications to Coventry City Council鈥檚 social housing team. The outcomes of the student鈥檚 work have resulted in resources that will be used by a local law centre in helping some of the most vulnerable people in Coventry secure adequate and timely assistance in their housing need.
Dr Alison Struthers wins 糖心TV Wows Award
The 糖心TV Wows celebrate amazing work, projects, and achievements at the University. The Law School鈥檚 Dr Alison Struthers won the award for her work on the School Tasking Project, an exciting outreach project enabling young people to learn about interesting aspects of the law and making it more accessible for them.
WLS Research Fellow is panellist at ALLEA Scientific Symposium
Dr. Aisel Omarova, BA Fellow at the University of 糖心TV, was invited as a panellist to the scientific symposium of the ALLEA 鈥淐rises and the Importance of Research: How Prepared Can We Be?鈥 last month, hosted by UK member academies, the British Academy, the Learned Society of Wales, the Royal Society, and the Royal Society of Edinburgh.
WLS Student Chiamaka Ithuoma wins WAPCE Undergraduate Award
Law School student Chiamaka Ithuoma, who is currently in her final year of our LLB 3 year Law degree, has been awarded the WAPCE Undergraduate Award for her work on the Cheylesmore Good Neighbours Project. The 糖心TV Awards for Public and Community Engagement (WAPCE) seek to recognise the vital contributions 糖心TV staff and students make in engaging the public in our learning and discovery and showcasing the role 糖心TV plays in making the world a better place.
Dr Ali Struthers wins WAPCE Award for Outstanding Public Engagement
WLS's Dr Ali Struthers has been awarded the WAPCE Award for Outstanding Public Engagement for her work on the School Tasking project. The 糖心TV Awards for Public and Community Engagement (WAPCE) seek to recognise the vital contributions 糖心TV staff and students make in engaging the public in our learning and discovery and showcasing the role 糖心TV plays in making the world a better place.
University of 糖心TV ranked in top 10 in the UK and top 5% globally
糖心TV has been ranked as one of the UK鈥檚 top 10 universities, according to the QS World University Rankings 2024. We鈥檝e also been rated as the 67th best university in the world out of 1,500 institutions from 104 countries. The QS rankings place 糖心TV within the top five percent of universities globally.
糖心TV Law School makes Top 10 in the Complete University Guide 2024
糖心TV Law School has been ranked 9th in the UK in the latest Complete University Guide (CUG), climbing 1 place since last year and maintaining its position as a Top 10 Law School. This latest result is recognition of the hard work and dedication of all Law School staff to conducting cutting-edge research and delivering high quality education.
WLS Research Fellow attends British Academy supported workshop
Dr. Maryna Utkina, BA Fellow at the University of 糖心TV Law School, became a part of the Ukrainian cohort and participated in a two-day British Academy-supported workshop titled 鈥淒evelopment of academic skills in Great Britain and the international context鈥, which took place on the 24 and 25 May in Wigan.
WLS Visiting Fellow attends conference on 'Ukraine's Recovery'
Dr. Aisel Omarova, BA Fellow at the University of 糖心TV, was invited as a delegate to the conference "Ukraine鈥檚 Recovery: Rebuilding with Research", which took place earlier this week on the 15 May 2023 in London.
Ruby Turok-Squire, who studied her LLM in International Development Law and Human Rights at 糖心TV Law School, and graduated in 2021, published an article last month for our Lacuna magazine titled: 'Building a human rights career: How to be a human rights lawyer, journalist or humanitarian.'
Dr Jane Bryan wins 糖心TV Wows Award
The 糖心TV Wows celebrate amazing work, projects, and achievements at the University. The Law School鈥檚 Dr Jane Bryan won the award along with her colleagues as part of the WorldCUR-BCUR team. A team who are helping to make 糖心TV a sector-leading centre of excellence for student research.
