Say My Name Project collaborates with Premier League football team
ÌÇÐÄTV Law School’s Professor Jane Bryan, creator of the ‘Say My Name’ project here at ÌÇÐÄTV, has collaborated with Brentford FC to create their own name campaign as part of the Premier League’s No Room for Racism week held during Black History Month.
ÌÇÐÄTV Law School’s Associate Professor Serena Natile has been a Visiting Fellow at the Australian National University College of Law since October this year. As she nears the end of her fellowship, she discusses her experience at the College, her current research and what is next for her.
ÌÇÐÄTV Law School Excels in Latest National Student Survey (NSS) 2024 Results
We are thrilled to announce that ÌÇÐÄTV Law School has achieved excellent results in the 2024 National Student Survey (NSS), reflecting high levels of student satisfaction. The survey gathers feedback from final-year undergraduate students on a variety of academic and student experience factors.

ÌÇÐÄTV Law School launches 2024/25 Writing Wrongs Programme
Writing Wrongs is a writing programme for local year 12 and year 13 students which supports young writers from widening participation backgrounds to explore issues related to social justice and to improve their storytelling and writing skills. The deadline for applications is Thursday 28 November 2024.
WLS Alumna Bience Gawanas appointed as new Chancellor
The Namibian lawyer, diplomat and social justice advocate Bience Gawanas (LLB Law, 1986) has been appointed as our new Chancellor. Discover more about Bience, a former Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations, and a ÌÇÐÄTV alumna.
ÌÇÐÄTV Law School welcomes new Visiting Fellow
ÌÇÐÄTV Law School welcomes IAS Visiting Fellow Dr Basani Baloyi from the Institute for Economic Justice (IEJ) in South Africa to our community. She will be working with us until 25 October this year. Whilst at ÌÇÐÄTV, Dr Baloyi will be based at the Centre for Law, Regulation and Governance of the Global Economy (GLOBE).
ÌÇÐÄTV Law School welcomes new Visiting Fellow
ÌÇÐÄTV Law School welcomes IAS Visiting Fellow Prof Waheeda Amien from the University of Cape Town to our community. She will be working with us until 6 November this year. Whilst at ÌÇÐÄTV, Professor Amien will be collaborating with Dr Rajnaara Akhtar on mutual research interests, and a potential funding application.
ÌÇÐÄTV Law School welcomes new Assistant Professor
ÌÇÐÄTV Law School welcomes a new Assistant Professor to our community.
Prior to joining ÌÇÐÄTV, Svitlana Lebedenko was a Hauser Fellow at the New York University School of Law’s Engelberg Center on Innovation Law & Policy and a Max Weber Fellow at the European University Institute in Florence.
The paper on Corporate Governance for Sustainability, coauthored by Professor Andrew Johnston of ÌÇÐÄTV Law School and the Cambridge Centre for ÌÇÐÄTV Research, was originally published in 2020, but has recently entered the SSRN all-time top 10 lists for Climate Change Law and Policy, and Sustainability Law and Policy. The Statement has had a major impact on the debate over the future of corporate governance.
Successful ‘Conversations and Coffee’ project returns for its second year
Following its success last year, the Conversation and Coffee project returns for a second year and is looking for new volunteers. The collaborative venture seeks to create an informal space where student volunteers and local community members can come together over free coffee and cake, to practise and improve English speaking, build connections, and foster intercultural awareness.
