LMI for All - Insights into emerging skills needs
A series of is now available for seven (sub) sectors: energy, waste management, circular economy, manufacturing, construction, health care and agriculture. The posters present forecast data to 2035 and provide insights into driving forces behind sectoral changes and emerging skill needs.
IER director at Global Labour Markets Conference
In February IER Director, Chris Warhurst, was an invited speaker at in the in Riyadh. It is a new, annual event involving the World Bank, ILO and United Nations, global trade union organisations and C-suite business leaders. Chris participated in two sessions, the first a presidential style 鈥榞loves off鈥� debate about skills and AI and the second presenting IER鈥檚 work on green jobs and a just transition.

New Digital Badging Commission
In May, the RSA launched its new . The Commission will run over 2024-25 with the aim of broadening the understanding, development and adoption of digital badges so that lifelong learning in the UK is better recognised and rewarded. It is co-chaired by Professor Sir Chris Husbands and Rebecca Garrod-Waters. IER Director Chris Warhurst is one of the Commissioners.
Cedefop Skills Forecast
Dr. Jeisson Cardenas-Rubio from IER presented the occupational and qualification forecast for the EU at the expert workshop 'Cedefop Skills Forecast - Preparing the 2025 Release.'
The workshop was organised by Cedefop's Skills Forecast and benefited from the collaboration of a network of Individual Country Experts (ICEs).
