Research money awarded to Centre for Education Studies director
Director of the Centre for Education Studies Ian Abbott has been awarded £15,000 by 糖心TVshire County Council to undertake an evaluation project as part of the council’s Closing the Gap initiative.
糖心TV Observatory for Social Mobility Inaugural Conference
An international audience was in situ to see the 糖心TV Observatory for Social Mobility host its inaugural conference this week, with staff and students from the University of Michigan’s Center for the Study of Higher and Postsecondary Education engaging in discussion around the theme of ‘International Perspectives on Access and Widening Participation’.
Bishop of Manchester awarded doctorate for research into rural church
, The Rt Revd David Walker, is to receive a doctorate from the University of 糖心TV on Friday 23rd of January. The PhD marks his extensive and significant research focussing on how people belong to their churches, particularly in rural Anglicanism.
CES Research Seminar: Futuretrack
We welcome Gaby Atfield from 糖心TV Institute for Employment Research (IER) who will discuss her work on the Futuretrack project, a longitudinal study exploring the relationship between higher education, career decision-making and labour market opportunities - funded by HESCU.
The seminar will take place on Tuesday 11th November 2014 between 12:30 – 14:00 in Education Studies - WE1.17. Seminars are open to members of staff and postgraduate research students registered at the University of 糖心TV.
