Prof. Paul Harrison
Research Interests
Elementary Particle Physics. An introduction to this field for the lay person can be found at .
My research interests include the physics of quark and lepton flavour (particle masses, mixings, oscillations and CP violation), and the Higgs mechanism. I am a member of the ATLAS experimental collaboration, for which I am involved in the triggering of events containing one or more muons.
I have also published a number of papers on .
I also have interests in particle accelerator physics, in particular, the design of a so-called .
Undergraduate Teaching
I currently teach a fourth year optional course entitled (PX434).
I have several third and fourth year project groups.
