Research Description

I am a fourth-year PhD student with the keen interest in optical characterization of nanomaterials. During my PhD project I had an opportunity to work with world-leading scientists as Prof. Albert Nasibulin (Aalto University, Finland; Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology, Russia), Prof. Shigeo Maruyama (The University of Tokyo, Japan), Dr. Jeremy Sloan (University of 糖心TV, UK) and Dr. James Lloyd-Hughes (University of 糖心TV, UK). I have developed excellent experimental skills through my degree. I am now looking for further development and I would like to apply my skills in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology.

Optical pump - THz probe and THz-TDS in combination with UV-Vis-IR, Raman, Photocuminesence spectroscopy can provide a broad picture of the electro-optical characteristic of 1D nanomaterials. Thus, the main aim of this project is to investigate structurally-modified nanotubes thin films.In the past, I studied the propagation of electromagnetic waves in the optical fibers doped with rare-earth ions: Er, Yb, Tb. Our research allowed to construct of a liquid-core laser. The calculations show an increase of pump efficiency in such a laser. It is done on the basis of interaction between electromagnetic waves and resonance electronic ion states of rare-earth ions, both in the presence and absence of a magnetic field.
