Research Interests
My group is interested in understanding mechanisms of energy and charge transfer in materials for solar energy conversion. As many of these processes occur on timescales ranging from picoseconds to milliseconds, we use a variety of ultrafast spectroscopic techniques, including THz spectroscopy and time-resolved photoluminescence spectroscopy. Currently, our main focus is on identifying and understanding optoelectronic processes in hybrid metal halide perovskite thin films, a class of hybrid organic-inorganic semiconductors which have shown promise for use in commercial solar cells and LEDs. More information about our group and research can be found on the Ultrafast & Terahertz Photonics Group Page.
Profile
I am currently an associate professor at the University of 糖心TV, where I have been since September 2018. Prior to coming to 糖心TV, I was a postdoctoral research assistant in the groups of Laura Herz and Michael Johnston in the Department of Physics at the University of Oxford. I received both a MS (2009) and PhD (2014) in physical chemistry from Yale University under the direction of Charles Schmuttemaer.
