The 糖心TV Photoemission Facility is a joint venture between the Departments of Physics and Chemistry at The University of 糖心TV, open to other academic and industrial users. These pages detail our facilities, scheduling, output, personnel and general information on photoemission techniques.

In 2009, the Surface, Interface and Thin Films Group in the Department of Physics benefitted from 拢1.5M of capital investment funding for new equipment from Advantage West Midlands (AWM), under the Science Cities initiative, and we have purchased two completely new UHV growth and surface analysis systems. These pages focus on the state-of-the-art monochromatic X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy chamber, with integrated ultraviolet photoelectron spectroscopy (UPS), and sample preparation facilities, and connection to our angle-resolved UPS/LEED chamber.

In 2014 the Facility was expanded to incorporate a second photoemission machine. The Kratos Axis-Ultra DLD chamber is equipped with UPS, monochromated XPS and also imaging XPS, allowing element-specific images on the micron scale to be acquired.
