Dr Suresh Srinivasan
Dr. Suresh Srinivasan is currently working as Research Fellow in a new concept for compact radiation shielding materials (for example, Reactive Sintered Tungsten Borocarbides) for a nuclear reactor at the University of 糖心TV. Before this, he worked at WMG for the development of Magnetorheological Fluids (MRFs) in Automotive Suspension Systems. Prior to this, he was working as a Research Fellow at Brunel University London, working towards a variety of project includes 3D Printing; B4C-based bio-prepared-rGO ceramic nanocomposites and Aluminum alloys for Automotive Applications. He鈥檚 primary research involved in understanding the interrelationship between composition, processing, mechanical properties, and the resultant microstructure. He was fortunate enough to work in an interdisciplinary research area, primarily, involved in understanding the physiochemical, thermo-mechanical and structural properties of various minerals and metallurgical materials, ceramics, glasses, Fibres, and composite materials. And he had the opportunity to work in an industrial R & D for about 3 years as an R & D Manager in developing new products: WC-Co composites, Si3N4, Sialon and aluminosilicate-based high-performance ceramic materials at Tata, R&D and as a Sr. Research engineer at Lulea University of Technology, Sweden. He obtained a PhD in Metallurgical Engineering and Materials Science, a Masters in Ceramic Technology, a Bachelor鈥檚 in Chemical Engineering and is has been certified as a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness working in projects by using lean six-sigma concepts. He has been involved in communicating scientific ideas through project meetings, oral presentations at conferences, and journal publications. Has experimental expertise and mathematical modeling in advanced materials processing and high-temperature operations.
Dr Gurdev Singh
Dr. Gurdev Singh is currently a post-doctoral fellow in the department of physics, University of 糖心TV, UK. Before joining the University of 糖心TV, he was Assistant Professor in the department of production and industrial engineering, Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh. He has done his Masters and PhD from Indian Institute of Technology Madras, India in the field of Mechanical Engineering. His area of research was the fabrication of a porous scaffold by freeze casting specifically for biomedical applications. He is interested in the area of freeze casting, sintering, fabrication of porous and dense materials, additive manufacturing, composites, and material characterization. He has also won the best poster award for the poster titled 鈥淔abrication of porous scaffold with controlled differential pore size distribution by novel freeze casting鈥 in the 6th International Conference on Multifunctional, Hybrid, and Nanomaterials, 11-15 March 2019, Sitges, Spain. Beyond his academic and research endeavors, he has various co-curricular and extra-curricular achievements. He was MS Counsellor, elected member of 鈥淪tudent Affair Council鈥 apex policy-making representative body. He has represented IIT Madras in Hockey and has also won an Inter-Collegiate Hockey tournament.
