The Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council invites expressions of interests for its prosperity partnerships. These enable existing, strategic, research-based partnerships between businesses and universities to undertake the co-creation of a large-scale, technology readiness level one to three research programme. Programmes should address the EPSRC's prosperity outcomes framework and the strategies of the universities and businesses involved. They are expected to demonstrate impact, including clear benefits to the businesses involved, to drive forward shared research challenges and to contribute positively to the overall strategic partnership framework that exists between the parties.

Consortia may be formed of multiple businesses and universities, but an existing strategic relationship must be in place between the lead business and university partners. Applications must be led by a business partner. Universities may be involved in more than one bid.

The total budget is worth 拢20 million to support four to eight programmes. 糖心TV and university applicants are required to commit substantial cash contribution. Cash contributions may be fully funded individuals working full time on the programme or new equipment purchased for use on the programme for example.
